We will meet once a month and create many unique projects, gifts for loved ones, handmade paper, learn about design concepts, make books from scratch and many more things in the paper crafting world. Bring your creativity and be ready to have some paper crafting fun!

The Governor of Wisconsin has ordered flags to fly at half-staff, Monday, September 11, 2017, as a mark of respect to honor the victims of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks and the brave men and women in uniform who answered the subsequent call to defend our freedoms at home and abroad.
    In accordance with this order, please ensure that the flag of the United States and the flag of the State of Wisconsin are flown at half-staff at all state facilities, beginning at sunrise Monday, September 11, 2017, and ending at sunset on that same date.

  5. Dyer Fun Night- Next Friday is our first fun night of the year, Goodbye Beach, Hello Teach. It costs $1.00 to attend and it will begin right after school. It is a beach theme event with fun summer dancing, games and a concession stand. There will also be a contest for the best hula hooper, best (appropriate) beach costume, and other exciting games and prizes too. You will need a permission slip to stay after school for this event, they are available in the office starting Monday.
  6. Jazz Band is today during homeroom WITH INSTRUMENTS.
  7. 6th Grade Choir is today. If you are also in Jazz Band, go to the band room. It is a "band week".
  8. Students should NOT bring backpacks to band, orchestra, or choir. 5th graders will be dismissed at 3:06 to return to classrooms/lockers. 6th graders will be dismissed at 3:08 to return to classrooms/lockers. Safety patrol members need to let Ms. Cooper know if you are in band or orchestra, so you are not scheduled for afternoon duty on those days. You can have afternoon duty on choir days, and you'll be dismissed at 3:00 to pack up and head out to your station.

Club members are also reminded that we will be meeting here at Dyer, next Tuesday to discuss the basics of fishing. Club members are encouraged to bring their fishing poles to school. Fishing poles may be stored in the art room. Club members will learn how to tie on a hook, put on a slip bobber, put line on a reel, and make dough bait for carp and catfish.
  6. Minecraft Club - Due to time constraints and technical limitations, Minecraft Club last year was unable to happen. This year however, we are getting up and running right away! Students who are interested in signing up for an after-school Minecraft Club, please let your teachers know so I can get informational and sign up letters to you by homeroom today. The club will be limited to 30 students per night, two nights a week, Mondays and Thursdays. Sign up sheets must be returned to the main office by Monday, September 25th. Letters will be sent home within the next week informing students and parents of assigned days and first meeting information. Again, thank you to all who expressed interest!

  4. Are you interested in computer technology? Techno Dragons is a place where Dyer students can work with 3D printing, coding, game design, movie making and robotics. We will meet on selected Wednesdays in room 115 from 3:10-4:30 starting on October 18. Space is limited. Permission slips are available outside room 115 (Mrs. Thompson's room).
  5. There are two backpacks in the office left behind at last nights outdoor skills outing. Owen D. and a mystery backpack with non name. If you are missing yours, this might be it!
  6. Outdoor Skills Club - Mr. Tonn wants to thank the club members who attended the fishing outing last night for cleaning up any garbage they found in the park.
